Dear Parents,
We welcomed Hillesley Toddler Group into school this week and it was lovely to see them enjoying the Friendship Garden in the sunshine!
On Tuesday, we held our Homework Celebration. The children produced some beautiful portraits and bug hotels (Class 1) and fantastic graffiti (Class 2/3)!
Families are warmly invited to our annual Sports Day on Tuesday afternoon on the Jubilee Field, and also to the District Sports track event on Wednesday evening.

Our children are really enjoying Mrs Carter's science and geography lessons this term. Last week, they made burglar alarms, and yesterday, as part of their geography work, they made bread...and butter!

Wetland Link International ran a competition to 'Design a Wildly Wonderful Wetland Animal' last month and our art club won 3rd place and received a host of lovely nature themed books, puzzles and animals!

Gloucestershire County Council gives families free access to Togetherness resources to support wellbeing. For parents, carers, grandparents, and young people.
Learn from NHS clinical psychologists, practitioners, and other parents. The pathways will help you and your family understand and manage emotions in everyday life.
Teachers regularly ask the children to recall their prior learning at the start of each lesson and, to encourage retrieval of important knowledge, we have introduced a weekly reward to celebrate those who are doing this well. Progression maps for all subjects can be found on our website so feel free to use these to ask your child/ren what they can recall from their lessons this term. Each week we will select children who have been fabulous Recall Rangers!
