Every effort is made to teach the pupils about preserving the environment and we take being eco very seriously. The school has a climate action plan which the children take responsibility for. We have been awarded The Green Flag Award twice.

Our School Council recently had the exciting opportunity to work with the Estate Manager from Badminton Estate to learn more about ash die-back and its impact on our local environment. The children visited the Estate to see the replanting scheme first-hand and discover how the landscape is being cared for for future generations. They found the experience fascinating and were inspired by the work taking place to protect and restore our local environment.
We are thrilled to have a fantastic Forest School site where children can learn and play with a fully trained Forest School leader. This lovely area is a 5 minute walk from school, just along from the school allotment, and is used during the school day and for after school activities.
Eco Representatives
We do have Eco Representatives as part of our School Council. They help to make sure that the school's Climate Action Plan progresses.
Allotments
The school also cares for an allotment from the Parish Council. During the year the pupils plant/sow, weed, water and reap/harvest.
Friendship Garden
There is a Friendship Garden at school. KS1 children have their own raised beds for wild flowers and fruit. Also in the friendship garden is a mud kitchen, bug hotel, willow dome, sand pit, water activities which make up part of our continuous provision.
