Mrs Cooper trained as a mature student at the University of the West of England, where she specialised in English. At Hillesley, she is the subject leader for English, history and geography. She is also the subject leader and main teacher for religious education.
Although she teaches mainly in our junior classes, she sometimes migrates down the corridor to the infant classroom in the afternoon!
Mrs Cooper is married and has twin children at a local secondary school. Her favourite novel is ‘A Passage to India’, by EM Forster, and her favourite children’s novel is ‘The Graveyard Book’, by Neil Gaiman. Interestingly, Mrs Cooper has a useless talent for quoting large sections of the dialogue from the 1979 Star Wars film!
